Durak is a traditional Russian card game that is widely recognized and popular in many post-Soviet states. The objective of Durak is to be the first player to get rid of all your cards, making it a shedding type of game. The unique aspect of Durak is that there is no single winner, but there is one 'Durak' - the 'fool' who is the last player left with cards. The game is typically played with 2 to 6 players and a deck of 36 cards. A key element of strategy is to go out fast, though players also have to be mindful of the cards they leave behind for their opponents. Attack, defense, and bluffing are integral parts of the gameplay, making Durak not only a game of chance but also a test of skill, strategy, and cunning. Despite its seemingly simple rules, the game requires tactical thinking and risk-taking.
